Day 1: Arrival in Kampala
On arrival you will be met at the airport and given a transfer to Hotel Cassia Lodge in Kampala where you will spend the night.

Day 2: Kampala – Lake Mburo National Park (230 km, approx. 5 hours)
After breakfast we go southwest to Lake Mburo National Park. On the way you pass the equator where you can photograph and buy souvenirs. When you enter the park towards your accommodation, you will probably see various wild animals such as impala, topi, warthog, zebra and buffalo. After check-in, you take a boat trip on the lake and can see among other things, view the rich bird life and see hippos cooling off. Dinner and overnight at Lodge

Day 3: Lake Mburo – Bwindi National Park (250 miles, 6-7 hours)
You start the day early with a nature walk guided by a park ranger. Lake Mburo is the only national park in Uganda where you can do a safari on foot. You return to camp to have breakfast. Then you leave Lake Mburo and go on a game drive on the way out of the protected area. The target is Bwindi National Park, where the endangered mountain gorillas live. Dinner and overnight at Lodge.

Day 4: Gorilla tracking (trekking)
You now come to the highlight of the safari: the meeting with Bwindi’s nice bastards. Especially you who like to hike will appreciate the tracking in the park’s beautiful ecosystem. You can count on hiking a long distance in steep and muddy surroundings and sometimes in the rain before you meet the gorillas. But it is definitely worth the effort when you finally see them up close when they eat, play and rest. It is a unique and unforgettable experience! Dinner and overnight at Lodge.

Day 5: Bwindi National Park – Queen Elizabeth National Park (350 km, approx. 6 hours)
After breakfast, head to Queen Elizabeth National Park. The scenic route goes through a green area with small traditional farms and larger farms. In the afternoon you go on a boat cruise on the Kazinga Canal, a natural canal between Lake Edward and Lake George. It is a fantastic and unforgettable cruise: there is a huge bird life and elephants, buffaloes and hundreds of hippos cool off on the beaches. Dinner and overnight at Lodge

Day 6: Queen Elizabeth National Park – Kibale Forest National Park (180 km, approx. 3 hours)The day starts early when you start with a game drive in the morning and go to the Uganda kob (an antelope part) mating area. You are also looking for lions, elephants, buffaloes and other wild animals in their natural surroundings. After the game drive, you continue to the heart of Africa’s rainforest for a unique tracking of other primates. Kibale Forest is considered to have the largest variety and highest concentration of primates in East Africa. Here you get a guided nature walk in the tropical rainforest to search for wild chimpanzees, black-cheeked white-nosed (markatta), black-and-white colobus monkey and many other primates. Dinner and overnight at Lodge Meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner.

Day 7: Kibale Forest National Park – Entebbe (33 miles, about 6 hours)After breakfast you drive back to the capital with a stop for lunch. Look out for the black and white colobus monkeys hiding along the road. From Kampala you continue to Entebbe Airport to fly to the next destination.Meals: breakfast, lunch.
